Seely Lake

So about 3 weeks ago my mom's side of the family had a family reunion. My dad's sister and her husband were there too. Pretty much all of us got to the lake on Monday. Most of that afternoon was spent catching up with people we have not seen in a while. Everyone pretty much did their own thing during the days (slept, rode on jet skis, water skied,complained about all the mosquitoes, etc.), and we all got together at night. Monday night we had an activity in my parents cabin ( well Camille and I were staying in the cabin as well, but I like to call it my parents cabin). Since fathers day had just been the week before, we all went around saying what makes a good father. Tuesday night we played games. This was my favorite night. Wednesday night was music night. This would have to be my grandmas favorite. Thursday night we had a pot luck. Friday night we had a campfire. All in all it was a really great week with the family(despite the ginormous amount of mosquitoes and the fact that the boat stopped working on the second day. Can't wait till the next reunion

My new job

So as of today, after countless hours of application, after application, after application, I finally have a job. I am going to be working at Sam's Club as a food demonstrator. I am one of those people who sell free food samples to the customers. I am very happy and excited.

Idol

Let me just put it out there that I am probably the biggest American Idol fan alive. My favorite's this is year are Stefano and James. I like Stefano because he can really belt it out. I like James because he can sing way up there. I also like his story. I also really like Casey and how he has got so much blues in him. The one person I do not like this year is Jacob. His voice just annoys me. I think James will win this year

Spring 2011

Sorry I've been so M.I.A. on blogging. Here is what has been happening in my life lately. I am now what my mom says "a blondie" No I did not die my hair blond, but highlighted it so it looks a lot lighter. I am just coming off my spring break at the preschool and go back tomorrow. As far as boys go, still nothing yet. Story of my life. My sister told me I need to stop going for the wrong kind of guys. There might actually be some truth to that. Well I guess that is all for now

Christmas

Christmas is my favorite time of year. I am so excited about going home and seeing my family and friends. I feel like this year I'm trying to focus on the real meaning of Christmas which is the birth of Jesus Christ. One of the most important part of this time of year for me is thinking about how I can make others holiday special. I was talking to someone today about my favorite memory of Christmas. Mine would have to be not a gift that I gave to someone or anyone gave to me. It was the year I found out I was going to be a big sister. That will always be a Christmas I will never forget.

I absolutely love working with the kids. I am thinking of taking a Spanish class because a majority of the kids speak Spanish. I also find that I am enjoying working with the special ed classes. Enough about work. I started a new ward in late August. There are lot's of people in it and I love it. I was totally uplifted last weekend by General Conference, which is just what I needed. I also enjoy seeing my Uncle Paul sing in the Tabernacle Choir. Only 11 more days until I turn 25. So many people are telling me I am not old, but somehow I still feel like I am. This is my most favorite time of the year. I love the weather and hate it when it is hot. It is the perfect weather to go out on walks. I am going to be working on putting pictures on here, but I don't have a camera yet and hope to get one soon. Well time to sign off.

Virginia

So I mentioned in my last post, we went to Virginia this last week. I wont give a day by day play because that would be boring. So one of the highlights were making my Dad's cousin's son Dylan feel welcome by playing with him. Another fun thing was on Saturday night we went to a Richmond baseball game and I totally stuffed my face. They had a fireworks show after the game. We did not do much on the fourth, just hung out. I also loved my Aunt and Uncle's pool and getting people wet with the Super Soaker's. We had my cousin's 18 birthday on Monday. All in all it was a great trip. We got back at four this morning though which was rough.
